Why Yilingbot?
Remember that slight pause when you saw a message in a group chat that you couldn't read?
Copy, switch apps, paste, translate, copy back — we've all done it too many times. I started wondering: why can't translation happen right where the conversation happens? Why can't everyone chat naturally in the same group, each in their own language?
That's where Yilingbot came from.
What is Yilingbot today?
Yilingbot is a side project built and maintained by the Yiling Team. It connects to Google Cloud Translation and other established translation APIs to bring real-time translation into LINE, Discord, Slack, and Telegram groups — no app switching, no personal registration needed.
The team is still small, but every feature, every reply, and every bug fix is something we take seriously.
How do we handle your messages?
Trust is what Yilingbot cares about most.
- Messages are forwarded to Google Cloud Translation for immediate translation and returned to your group. We do not store conversation content or retain translation records.
- Your messages are never used to train AI models or improve translation services.
- We only keep necessary transaction and usage records (such as quota deductions) to keep the service running.
Your group conversations belong only to your group members.
What's next?
Yilingbot is still growing. Based on user feedback, we'll keep improving translation quality and adding useful features to make it more stable and easier to use.
